Atmospheric

Now I have never been much of a make up fan as truthfully I never really feel like I know what I am doing. So I don’t tend to get excited about purchasing make up although I wish I did.

That said somehow I found myself pausing at the make up in Topshop and before I knew it I had walked out with two new products.

The first is this gorgeous trio of eye shadows called Atmosphere which features a gold, a soft moss-green and an aubergine. The pigmentation of each of these colours is really good and they work well on their own or blended together. They have a nice shimmer to them and tend to blend really well to create a nice, even finish. The aubergine colour really makes my eyes pop and I love using the gold in the corner of my eyes to lift them. All in all a really great product which I have used every day since I bought it.

The second item I picked up is this lipstick called Saint which is a really beautiful nude colour. It is really creamy and makes my lips look really glossy. The colour works well as I have a tan at the moment but I do think it will work even when I don’t. I never used to wear lipstick but now it’s all I wear. I love how the right shade can pull a whole look together.

I also picked up a tube of Paw Paw lip balm as everyone raves about it. Apparently it is like the Australian version of Carmex and works wonders for your lips! Very excited to try it!!

Shopping

So as I mentioned yesterday I may have indulged in a little shopping whilst I’ve been over here in Sydney….

When I was leaving the UK everyone told me the shopping wouldn’t come close to London but I have to disagree. Mainly because they have a lot of the same shops but also because the little boutiques I keep coming across have some amazing finds. Plus there is a massive sale on across Sydney so some of these items are actually bargains haha!

My greatest purchase so far are these amazing sand coloured heeled boots from Topshop that I picked up in the sale and cost me around £17 – crazy money! They are really comfortable and go with EVERYTHING which makes me very happy.

I also picked up these super hot leather shorts from an amazing stall underneath Westfield! I am in love with everything at this place – from their clothes, to their bags to their jewellery and I just know I am will keep spending there! Plus the girl who works there is so sweet!

Baby blue

It was whilst we were in Clarks that I spotted these beautiful baby blue brogues in th softest leather and I just couldn’t resist. Plus they were 50% off so it was a no brainer!

Now Clarks is a controversial choice I know as it seems to be stuck in the fuddy duddy category but whilst not all their collections are up there as the coolest they do have the odd pair now and then which you can’t believe are Clarks!

And these are one of them.

They are such a beautiful baby blue colour and so comfortable to wear. They are a perfect shoe for Spring/Summer as they are lighter and the suede finish just works when the weather is better.

Now I am normally a size 7 but I had to go up a size as these shoes are narrow – you can still get them online here

Whilst browsing their website I did spot a couple of other shoes that I hadn’t seen in the shop but I do think are pretty fabulous –

Trilby Tweed –Was £44.99 Now £29.99 – they do these in a couple of colour combo’s but I think this one is the best for the Summer

Sarina Bowes – Was £49.99 Now £34.99 – a great pair of black sandals but with the chunky heel they feel a lot more modern. They also do these in a tan version

Frieda Sun –Was £69.00 Now £49.00 – I can see these worn with jeans and a tee whilst strolling around the city – a great pop of colour

So maybe we should all give Clarks a chance 🙂

Little Denim Dress that is.

Photo 23-06-2013 19 42 15A couple of weekends ago I was out and about in Clapham Junction and popped into Oliver Bonas to have a mooch. And then I saw it. The perfect Little Denim Dress – a wonderous item that I have been hunting for forever (or at least the last couple of months!)

This pale denim shift dress is the sweetest ever and a perfect fit. It sits just above the knee and has divine capped sleeves. The high neck keeps it casual and there are rose gold buttons down the back.

It is one of those dresses that I know I will own forever as you can easily dress it up but really it is a perfect throw on and go dress. It doesn’t need any accesories; just a great pair of shoes and you’re set!

Well done Oliver Bonas – well done!

Tonight I wore it with my trusty wedge sneakers from Sainsburys as I was enjoying an early supper with my family.image image

You can still purchase this fantastic dress online here.
